This Privacy Policy explains how Appliance Fix Service (“we”, “us”) handles information collected through www.appliancefixservice.com (the “Site”). We are a local home appliance repair business serving Orange County, California.

We only collect the information you choose to give us. When you fill in a request form on this Site, we collect the following categories of personally identifiable information:

2. Cookies, analytics and tracking
This Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, does not use tracking pixels, and does not build profiles of visitors. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Our website host, GitHub Pages, records standard server access logs.

Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites over time, we do not respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals. We do not authorize third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your online activities on this Site.
4. How we use your information
We use what you send us only to respond to your request, schedule and perform the repair, and follow up about the work. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Communications consent
When you submit a request form, you are asked to confirm that we may contact you by phone, text message or email about that request. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw consent at any time by telling us — reply STOP to a text message, or email us at the address below — and we will stop contacting you.
6. Who else may receive your information
The categories of third parties that may process information you submit are limited to service providers that operate this Site and our communications:
- Our website host and its content delivery network.
- Our form delivery provider, which passes your submission to our email inbox.
- Our email provider.
- The messaging app you choose, if you send your request via WhatsApp or Telegram — in that case the message goes directly from your device through that app, and this Site neither stores nor transmits it.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
7. How long we keep it
We keep job-related records for as long as needed to service the work, honor the warranty on the repair, and meet tax and record-keeping obligations. After that we delete them.
8. Reviewing, correcting or deleting your information

We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
9. California residents
We are a small local business and do not meet the thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) apply to us. We nonetheless honor requests to access, correct or delete personal information as described in section 8. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
This Site is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we make a material change to this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above before the change takes effect. Significant changes will also be noted on the homepage.
